Ponds and ditches

The freshwater part of the reserve also consists of the numerous ponds and ditches, inhabited by different species of invertebrates, amphibians and reptiles. For the visitors particularly ponds and ditches along the trail are interesting. They are teeming with abundance of life, from dragonflies, which be found in largest numbers, different species of snakes, newts and frogs, whose life cycle takes place in both terrestrial and aquatic habitats.
